Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tandoori items, such as naan bread, chicken tikka, lamb chops, and other vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in a tandoor oven.
  • Ensure that all tandoori items are prepared according to recipes and company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized tandoor oven area and adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of tandoori ingredients and supplies.
  • Assist with menu planning and cost control measures related to tandoori items.
  • Train and supervise assistant chefs and kitchen staff in tandoori cooking techniques.
  • Test new tandoori recipes and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistent quality and taste.
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers and respond to customer requests and inquiries related to tandoori items.
  • Attend training and development programs to improve knowledge and skills in tandoori cooking techniques and customer service.
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Tandoor Specialist or other related role.
  • Knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of tandoori items, such as naan bread, chicken tikka, lamb chops, and other vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in a tandoor oven.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work.
