Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare South Indian cuisine dishes, such as dosa, idli, sambar, chutney, and other vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes and company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area and adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of kitchen ingredients and supplies.
  • Assist with menu planning and cost control measures.
  • Train and supervise assistant chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Test new recipes and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistent quality and taste.
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers and respond to customer requests and inquiries.
  • Attend training and development programs to improve knowledge and skills in South Indian cuisine and customer service.
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a South Indian Commi or other related role.
  • Knowledge of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of South Indian dishes, such as dosa, idli, sambar, chutney, and other vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work.
