Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Entry and Bookkeeping:
- Assist in recording daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Verify and reconcile invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable:
- Help in managing accounts receivable by issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Support accounts payable process by verifying and processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining vendor records.
- Bank Reconciliation and Cash Management:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash balances.
- Assist with petty cash management and reconciliations.
- Prepare bank deposits and monitor cash flow.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct basic financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Help with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- General Accounting Support:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
