Bakery Specialist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes, according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bakery area and adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies.
  • Plan and coordinate daily production schedule with Bakery Manager.
  • Train and supervise assistant bakers and other bakery staff.
  • Test new recipes and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistent quality and taste.
  • Decorate baked goods and prepare displays for retail sale.
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers and respond to customer requests and inquiries.
  • Assist with other bakery duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a baker or pastry chef.
  • Knowledge of baking principles and practices.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work.
