Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare South Indian cuisine dishes, such as dosa, idli, sambar, chutney, and other vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area and adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of kitchen ingredients and supplies.
- Assist with menu planning and cost control measures.
- Train and supervise assistant chefs and kitchen staff.
- Test new recipes and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistent quality and taste.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers and respond to customer requests and inquiries.
- Attend training and development programs to improve knowledge and skills in South Indian cuisine and customer service.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a South Indian Commi or other related role.
- Knowledge of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to prepare a variety of South Indian dishes, such as dosa, idli, sambar, chutney, and other vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- A positive and proactive attitude towards work.
